Away from the cameras, Big Brother's very own Romeo and Juliet are still madly in love! Marty phones TV HITS from the farm and talks love, marriage and rollerskates!
TV Hits: Hi Marty! So what wait like returning back to the farm?
Marty: It was great to see the open countryside, the green grass, the cows, and sheep in the paddocks and all the little things that I missed. Coming home felt great.
TV Hits: Was it weird returning to Toodyay a celebrity?
Marty: Yeah. I walk down the street everyone's like, "Hi, how are you? "G'day!" "Congratulations" It's cool to see all their happy smiling faces.
TV Hits: Has anything changed?
Marty: No, except they've got a big screen TV in the pub - that's about it! They used to have cheap drinks every day for Marty Hour while they watched Big Brother.
TV Hits: What was your first week out of the house like?
Marty: I had a ball! I spent the week hanging out with Jess, doing interviews and staying in flash hotels. It was great to experience it all with Jess. I wouldn't have loved it as much if she hadn't been there with me.
TV Hits: Did you and Jess have a lot to talk about away from the cameras?
Marty: Yeah, we were looking forward to some quality time together away from the cameras in the house I held back saying, "I love you." So it's been good.
TV Hits: So, are you and Jess engaged?
Marty: (laughs) No, we're still thinking about it!
TV Hits: Were you tempted to get married on Rove Live?
Marty: Actually Jess' mum sent her a message just after Rove, saying "Don't you dare get married without me!" If it happens, it happens, and it will be very romantic.
TV Hits: What's been the reaction from fans?
Marty: It was mad the first night! But everyone's been smiling and happy to meet you. And whenever I've been without Jess, people have been like, "Where's Jess? What's going on?" It's been great lapping all the attention up!
TV Hits: How are things between you and {ex-girlfriend} Jonelle?
Marty: I don't know. It's still private right now, I guess. I've spoken to her a couple of times and that's just how things go, I guess.
TV Hits: How do you think Jess will fit in at the farm, with all her crazy hairstyles and clothes?
Marty: When she comes to the farm she's certainly going to look the part! But I think she'll really love it. She will miss the hustle and bustle of the city but it will be quiet and fun, and we'll get to relax.
TV Hits: How do you reckon Jess will go with shearing a sheep?
Marty: I think she'll find it easier than driving a tractor! She'll pick it up. But shearing a sheep is hard, even my sisters can't do it. But I'll teach her the easy stuff like how to control the sheep and how to ride the motorbikes. I'll teach her how to catch the yabbies in the dam and she can chase bunnies around!
TV Hits: Does Jess know how to crack a whip?
Marty: No, she has on a couple of occasions, but she can't do it continuously. In the house she said she wants to learn how to crack the whip properly, and there's still time to teach her!
TV Hits: Has Jess tried to give you a new hairstyle or taken you shopping for a new wardrobe?
Marty: No, she loves me just the way I am, and I love Jess just the way she is.
TV Hits: Have you learnt how to rollerskate?
Marty: It's harder than it looks! I told Jess the other day I was going to get a pair. But I think rollerblades are more my style.
TV Hits: Do you miss the house?
Marty: Yeah, I do. It was a great little safety zone.
TV Hits: What's your plan for the future?
Marty: To keep living my life and being happy, whether that living in Sydney or staying at the farm. As long as I'm happy and I'm with Jess. I don't have any dreams of conquering the world or anything!
